Adult Sunday School
Each Sunday, we gather to learn more about God’s word, theology, Church history and practical Christian living. We believe that every class we offer will challenge you and help you grow in your love for Christ and others. You are invited to join any class at any point during the year.
Recurring Adult Sunday School Opportunities (Academic School Year)
Forum of Grace (2nd Floor, Room 212)
During the month of January 2020, Reverend Rhyne will be conducting a class on the way the Presbyterian Church governs itself. He will be talking about the Historical Principles of Church Order as well as the Book of Order and the Directory for Worship. During this transition time, join the class to see how Presbyterians operate and how we would move forward as a congregation. The class begins January 12.
Beginning in February, Reverend Rhyne will be conducting a class on the Book of Confessions. It will be a class to look at the theological doctrine of the church as expressed through our confessions. Be sure to join in this informative discussion of what Presbyterians believe.

Children and Families
At Grace Covenant we consider our children disciples of Christ as well! From infants to elementary, we know they are people who need to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. The larger church family comes alongside parents to help them teach their children about God, share his love for us, and explore his plan for our lives.
Programs for Children and Families
We offer Sunday school from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for children of all ages during the school year, and invite our kids to participate in Children's Chapel during the morning worship hour. During summer months, childcare is available.
Keep an eye out for programs designed for all ages such as fellowship events, Parent's Nights Out, picnics, egg hunts, movie nights, service days, Vacation Bible School (VBS) and more throughout the year. Our children's programming is integrated along with every other arm of our ministry as a church family.
Sunday School (during school year months)
This winter we are continuing a Sunday School curriculum called DWELL. You can read more about it at www.dwellcurriculum.org.
This fall we will have the following classes for our younger kids:
Nursery Care (Room 103) for infants and 1-year-olds.
The Toddler Class (Room 101) for 2-year-olds: includes Bible story-time, prayers, and songs from the DWELL curriculum, alongside some time for free-play toddler fellowship.
The DWELL Play Class (Room 102) for kids in early preschool through kindergarten (roughly age 3 to 6): includes interactive activities (songs, prayers, stories, games) around scripture.
The DWELL Wonder Class (Room 300 - Youth Loft!) for kids in 1st through 5th grade: includes interactive activities (songs, prayers, stories, games, and memory challenges) around scripture.
We invite and welcome any and all of our older youth in middle school and high school to join in as volunteer helpers and leaders for these classes. Adults are also most welcome to volunteer as a class helper, substitute, or teacher this fall. Just contact Nelson Reveley (email@example.com).
Children's Chapel During Worship
Each week, children second grade and under are welcomed to a different place of worship just for them. Laying down the basics of the Reformed tradition in a way that connects with kids in their language and excites them to what worship is all about.
Preschoolers are led in prayer and, along with the rest of the Congregation, are read-to over the summer from a book of Psalms adapted for their age level. Rising kindergartners thru second graders attend a service in which they engage the rhythms of worship in an age-appropriate way. They learn and take turns leading the Gloria Patri, Doxology, Lord's Prayer, and Prayer for Illumination. They read out of the "Big" Bible, receive a Children's Sermon, and sing. Throughout the coming year, more elements of the worship service will be added so that children will be equipped to participate when they join worship full time.
Children are encouraged to begin worship with their parents in the sanctuary. After the corporate confession, they will be called forward to go to Children's Chapel. We look forward to seeing your child in Chapel!

GCArts! Summer Ministry
GCArts! is a summer ministry of GCPC for our elementary age children, rising 1st graders-5th graders. Children engage daily with scripture through storytelling led by Rev. Bobby Hulme-Lippert and animate and interpret scriptural themes through a variety of artistic mediums throughout the week, including art, poetry, dance, music, and theatrical performance.
We had a wonderful time closing the summer with GCArts! Camp! Our scriptural curriculum included Genesis 1, Psalm 139, Psalm 149, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, and the Parable of the Good Samaritan. We explored these themes with painting, drawing, sculpting, acting, dance, and music. We also talked about how we think about God and ourselves as we played games inside and outside. Special thanks to our eleven enthusiastic campers and our nine great counselors, guest artists, and volunteers, which included: Josh Edwards-Buck, Katie Dunbar, Erin Cook, Nelson Reveley, Bobby Hulme-Lippert, Diane Davis, Anne Randolph Reveley, Helen Lanier Ramirez, and Jess Reveley.
